What is dementia care?

Dementia care is tailored home support for people living with memory loss, confusion, or changes in mood and communication. We focus on consistency, reassurance, and practical help with day-to-day living — delivered in a calm, respectful way.

Our aim: Support the person to live well at home, reduce distress, and help families feel confident and supported.

Care is always personalised. We’ll build a plan around routines, preferences, risks and stage of dementia.

When dementia care can help

Home dementia support may be suitable if someone:

  • Becomes anxious, unsettled, or confused at certain times of day
  • Needs reminders, prompting, or supervision for everyday tasks
  • Is at risk of falls, wandering, or unsafe decisions
  • Struggles with eating, hydration, medication routines or personal care
  • Has family carers who need extra support, breaks, or overnight help

Dementia Care FAQs

Can dementia care help with anxiety and agitation?

Yes. We focus on calm communication, reassurance, and steady routines. We also look at triggers (time of day, noise, hunger, discomfort) and adapt the care plan to reduce distress.

Do you support people at different stages of dementia?

Yes. Support is tailored to the person’s needs, preferences, and risks. The care plan is reviewed as needs change.

Can you help with medication?

We can provide medication prompts and routine support as agreed in the care plan. If specialist medication administration is required, we’ll confirm what is appropriate during assessment.

Do you provide overnight dementia support?

Yes — waking or sleeping night care can be arranged (subject to availability) where someone is unsettled at night or needs reassurance and safety support.

How quickly can care start?

Start times depend on location, requirements and availability. Contact us with your postcode and what support is needed, and we’ll confirm the earliest options.
